The long running fighting game franchise Tekken will see its latest iteration released right before E3 2017. Bandai Namco has announced this morning that it will hit home consoles on June 2nd, and this includes a PC version. There has been no mention of a Nintendo Switch version, as of yet. Tekken 7 will include the usual things that come along with games nowadays. It will see a Collector’s Edition. This will include a steelbook, the game’s soundtrack, and most importantly an aerial figure of Kazuya and Heihachi that measures 30cmX45cm. There will also be a season pass with new characters, stages, and a new mode. Adding to this will be a bonus 35-piece costume pack. The pre-order bonus will be the character Eliza from Tekken Revolution.
While the pre-order bonus will include a free character across the board, the system that you choose to pre-order on will lend different results. If you order Tekken 7 on Xbox One, you will get a free copy of Tekken 6 since it is backwards compatible on the system. As for the PlayStation 4, players will receive legacy costumes for King, Xiaoyu, and Jin. It will also include a Jukebox mode (no details on that though). The game will also feature Street Fighter’s Akuma, if you remember that trailer from E3 this past year. The Tekken series has grown over the years to include many different styles of fighting while giving a more realistic approach to fighting rather than throwing fireballs and dragon punches. Tekken 7 has been in Japanese arcades for a while now, and finally people at home will get to experience this, and the Xbox One will get a new fighting game. Stay tuned for more information involving Tekken 7.
