Ubisoft Delays The Division Expansions To Improve Gameplay

Ubisoft announced that they will be delaying the next two Tom Clancy’s The Division expansions to improve the game’s “core gameplay experience” with update 1.4. Initially, the next update was planned to release alongside the next expansion, Survival, in October. However, through careful observation and fan feedback, Ubisoft will be making a few alterations to the third-person open-world shooter. Here are the planned adjustments for update 1.4 from the official The Division website:

  • Fixing bugs, including those listed in our Known Issues as well as many other ones
  • Making loot drops more relevant to the player
  • Enemy difficulty and time to kill
  • Gear Sets and weapons balancing
  • Solo player experience
  • Dark Zone and PvP balancing
  • Quality of life additions based on community suggestions (such as weapon skins no longer taking inventory space)

As for the upcoming expansions, Survival will launch later this year and Last Stand has been pushed to early 2017. Update 1.4 will be available in October.
