Uncharted 4 Gets First Major Multiplayer Update

Listen up, treasure hunters. The first major update for Uncharted 4’s multiplayer launched earlier today. Update 1.08 comes in around 1.3 GB in size and features new weapons, skins, boosters and a new map entitled Sunken Ruins.

A Comprehensive list of new gameplay items can be found below:

  • P90 – A full auto submachine gun with a very large magazine
  • Arrowhead A3c – A full auto long range variable rifle (choose to scope in or not)
  • Enforcer G26 – Semi-auto very fast rate of fire pistol
  • Agarwal .40 – Semi-auto hard-hitting 40-caliber pistol
  • Harbinger Sniper – A Heavy Weapon sniper gun

  • Enhanced Radar – increases the range of radar and show directional arrows for enemies
  • Gunslinger – swap weapons faster and reload faster while rolling
  • Hardened – reduced damage wobble
  • Gifting – give allies a full gear recharge

  • Path of Indra – teleport to any ally

In addition to all of these gameplay items, you will now have access to over 50 new Skins and Pre-Sets, 70 new Hat and Face Wear items and a variety of unique new taunts and Weapon Skins.

Quite possibly the biggest new addition to this update is the advent of the Level System. One of the biggest complaints about the game’s multiplayer has now been fixed with this new system that caps out at level 70. What’s unique about this Level System is that every five levels you unlock a new vanity item. This item cannot be unlocked in any other way, so be sure to wear it to show off your level to other players in the game.

In addition to this new Level System, Naughty Dog has added a Ranked Team Deathmatch mode to accomodate the most competitive Uncharted 4 players. This new mode will occur over seasons with the first season beginning today and ending on August 20, 2016. Like the new Level System, as you start to raise your rank in Ranked Team Deathmatch, you will begin to unlock new vanity items.

All of this and many other small tweaks are rolling out in today’s patch. If you would like to read about any of these new additions in greater detail, you can find them here.
