Banjo-Kazooie Spiritual Successor Hits Kickstarter Goal in Less Than 40 Minutes Playtonic Games, comprised of former Rare developers, launched a Kickstarter today for Yooka-Laylee, the spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series on Nintendo 64. The games are beloved by many fans and the love is definitely showing. It hasn’t even been a whole day since the launch and Yooka-Laylee has already found a lot of KickStarter success!

To add to all this excitement, the Kickstarter also announced that the game will be launched for all home platforms (PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox One, Wii U, and PS4). Playtonic plans to have the game released on PC, Mac, and Linux by October 2016. The dates for the console releases are still unknown.
