GameStop CEO Believes The Wii U Is a Winner

Despite the recent news that Ubisoft will no longer be making any mature games for the Nintendo Wii U in the foreseen future, GameStop CEO Tony Bartel reiterated today during a call with GameStop investors that the Nintendo is doing good job with the Wii U and it’s first party games is the key.

Really what they needed was two things: they needed strong first-party titles, which we think that they are getting; and they also needed to do a better job of explaining exactly what the connected tablet–as we like to call it–how you actually use that. I think they are going to do a great job on both of those.
